STANDARD CLEANING CHECKLIST

Kitchen 

  • Scrub and clean sink and faucets 
  • Clean exterior of all appliances (Dishwasher, Refrigerator, Microwave, Oven, Stovetop)
  • Cabinet fronts spot cleaned
  • Countertops and backsplash cleaned, items removed and replaced, if possible (uncluttered)
  • Exterior of countertop appliances wiped clean, interior of microwave cleaned
  • Furniture, mirrors, frames & accessories dusted & cleaned
  • Dust baseboards, doorframes, ceiling fans (if reachable), and windowsills
  • Clean the inside window above the sink, if applicable
  • Kitchen table cleaned & organized 
  • All points of contact cleaned (light switches, doorknobs)
  • Empty garbage, exterior of can wiped, bag replaced 
  • Floor vacuumed and mopped
  • Overall room appearance neat & tidy

Bathrooms 

  • Clean & scrub shower & tub

  • Vacuum or wipe couches/furniture (as appropriate). Fluff and straighten cushions and pillows

  • Shake rugs outside before cleaning, when possible
  • Vacuum all carpeted areas and stairways 
  • Mop hard floor surfaces
  • Laundry en suite wiped and floor mopped
  • Remove all trash throughout the house

Deep Clean:

The one time deep clean or first time deep clean includes all of the items on our standard cleaning checklist. In addition to our the standard cleaning, this includes:

  • Woodwork damp wiped by hand (rather than just dry dusted):
    • Baseboards
    • Doors
    • Doorframes
    • Cabinet fronts
    • Banisters

Move-In/Move-Out Clean:

This is to prepare an empty house for new tenants.  In addition to the standard cleaning, this includes:

  • Clean both inside and outside of cabinets & drawers
  • Dust blinds with long duster or vacuum
  • Clean pantry shelving and floor
  • Clean closet shelving and floor
  • Kick-plates under cupboards cleaned
  • Underside of microwave cleaned
  • Ceiling, wall, floor vents vacuumed
  • Sweep garage
  • Cleaning inside fridge and/or oven if included as add-on


The cost of Prestige Maids cleaning services varies depending on the type of service, the size of the area to be cleaned, and the frequency of cleaning.  Please contact us for a free quote.  Each house is different so the cost is based on your individual needs and wants for a clean.  We provide discounts for weekly and bi-monthly cleans.  The more frequent the clean, the higher the discount.


We provide professional cleaning tools, cleaning solutions, and supplies. We ask the customer to provide a toilet cleaning brush in the bathrooms.  If you do not have one, we can provide one during the first clean per request.

Yes, we are licensed, insured, and bonded


Please notify us at least 48 hours in advance so you are not charged a cancellation fee. While we will attempt to accommodate changes and needs, please note that we schedule our cleaners on a weekly basis so it is important to let us know of changes well in advance.


We understand that sometimes things in life change quickly so we ask that if you need to cancel or skip your scheduled cleaning service that you provide two business day notice.  If Prestige Maids receives less than two business days notice or can’t get into your home for the clean, there will be a $50 cancellation fee. You will remain on our schedule for future cleans as normal.


Schedule or service changes need to be made through the Prestige Maids office not via the maids.  Termination of regularly scheduled cleanings must be in writing or by email.  Please note that our recurring services are priced at discounted rates so if you choose to cancel recurring service after only one cleaning, our regular one-time cleaning charges will retroactively apply. 


Make arrangement with us in advance for how to enter the home and any areas you want us to focus on or special requests.  Please remember that prioritizing certain areas can take away from other parts of the clean or can be requested at additional costs.  We strive to thoroughly wipe or dust all surfaces; however, if surfaces are more than 50% covered, there may not be time to move all items. Please let us know how we can assist.


You do not need to be home as long as you provide a garage door code or other method to enter the home.  Also, please make sure pets are secure.


We do not usually do cleans on holidays or weekends but we may be able to make some accommodation for special requests if we know in advance and cleaners are available.


Payments from new clients are collected 3 days prior to all 1st time cleans.

All-recurring cleanings are collected on the day of service.


Please put pets outside or in a secure area you do not want cleaned. If you have specific questions, please reach out to us.  Our goal is to clean your home efficiently and our loving critters sometimes slow down the process.


Every single one of our maids goes through a background check.


While we try to provide continuity, we cannot guarantee the same maid every time due to schedule complexities.  However, please don't hesitate to let us know your favorites.


Please let us know immediately and we will send you the appropriate forms to complete to begin the process.


We have a 24 hour guarantee for all of our services. Please let us know if our maids overlooked an item so we can clean that specific area.  We do our best to avoid any situations like these and work to correct mistakes.
